This one began life late one night at Jay’s house, after a long day in the studio, when he and Tim were winding down by getting stoned and watching a bootleg DVD of a Bruce Springsteen concert from 1978. The title, and most of the fourth verse, were shouted in awe by Jay as Bruce defied the laws of gravity while looking impossibly sexy and cool. We waited for him to land after jumping off the piano, but he just kept floating into the sky. Mrs. Darkness chimes in at the end, here, as she’s got a different point of view about just how great our hero is. You would, too, if you lived with a demi-god.
